APPG PGMET online with negative marking from 2015

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) will conduct the Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET)-2015 in the first week of March online. It is going to be a common test for admissions to P.G courses in medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Vice-Chancellor T. Ravi Raju said in a press release that the examination pattern was also changed such that the candidates have to answer questions based on images and case studies. Hitherto, they were given only multiple choice questions without any pictorial element in them.

NTRUHS has recently conducted various entrance tests including the one for super-specialty courses online in a significant departure from the conventional mode of examination.

Speaking to The Hindu, Mr. Ravi Raju said the PGMET-2015 would be held at multiple designated centres on a single day. The online format was not only environment-friendly but also in tune with some national and international examinations in terms of standards. Besides, it would curb malpractice. Wrong answers would carry 1/4th negative mark but unanswered questions would not carry negative marks.

It may be recalled that the PGMET-2014 had landed NTRUHS into a major controversy following the leakage of question papers by a gang which had its network spread across the country comprising several doctors. Most of them were arrested following an investigation by the CID. offers weekly online APPG Mock tests with Live discussions . Call 09000868356 to enrol
